ATS Panels (Automatic Tranfer Switch)

ATS panels or automatic transfer switch panels are used with standby generators to automate the switching between mains power and a generator in an occurrence of an outage or blackout.

An ATS panel means that you do not have to manually switch to an alternative power supply, such as a backup generator during a power cut. An automatic transfer switch will changes to another power supply without human intervention, reducing the risk of data loss, damage to electrical equipment or any disruption to a business or facility.

The ATS panel checks the incoming mains supply so if there is a drop in power, the electrical load is transferred to the standby generator, and when the mains power is restored the ATS returns the load back to the mains supply and shuts down the backup generator.
